Las Vegas, Nevada
Following an almost year-long search, RaceDeck and My Classic Car have announced the Grand Prize Winner for the “Coolest Garage on TV” contest!
Just moments ago, the RaceDeck crew went live via Facebook from their booth at the 2019 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, with MCC host Dennis Gage on hand to announce the winner. During the live feed, RaceDeck followers were surprised to see Dennis announce not one but two grand prize contest winners, both with garages he and his film crew will visit and feature on segments of My Classic Car.
Throughout the year, entrants with RaceDeck Floors were encouraged to submit photos and a brief history of their garage, floor, and vehicles. After viewing hundreds of awesome submissions, RaceDeck narrowed the field down to the top 10. From there, Dennis Gage chose the final winners.
“This was really a tough one. I couldn’t believe all the incredibly cool and creative garage designs people sent in! It took a while to narrow it down to the top ten and then to the top five, but in the end I just couldn’t decide between what I felt were the top two, so we decided to go with two winners. I’m really looking forward to seeing both of these in person! Should make some pretty good TV too!” – Dennis Gage, Host of My Classic Car
Congratulations to the two Grand Prize Winners with the Coolest Garages: Ted Pacha and Tony Dekellis!
Another big congratulations to our 2nd runner up, Aaron Reitman, who also sent in an amazing submission of his European garage with RaceDeck FreeFlow flooring.
Both Coolest Garage grand prize winners have won a visit from Dennis and the My Classic Car film crew. Their garages will be toured and featured on segments of MCC, a hit show on Velocity tagged as the longest-running car show on air. RaceDeck, a major sponsor of My Classic Car for a decade, was ecstatic at the opportunity to show some love to their customers. BIG thank you to all that entered. With so many rad garages and cool stories, it was a tough decision for everyone involved!

At a glance, the parking lot at the RaceDeck offices and manufacturing facility on Wednesday night looked like a car show.
An ELITE car show. The Salt Lake City lot was overflowing with custom hot rods, vintage pick-up trucks, and some clearly VERY fast muscle cars. What was this rad event, you ask? The kickoff to the much anticipated, SOLD OUT, 2018 GoodGuys Rod and Custom Association’s Hall of Fame Road Tour! The 2018 tour, featuring 75 vintage vehicles and 150+ participants, will travel 3,000 miles from Utah to Texas. RaceDeck, a longtime sponsor and preferred flooring of the Goodguys, was ecstatic to be chosen as the first stop of the tour.
“Everyone at RaceDeck is honored to be chosen as the kick-off location of this year’s Hall Of Fame Tour for GoodGuys. The enthusiasts at GoodGuys build and own some the highest quality rides in the world. You will find that the same American Made quality and pride goes into every RaceDeck floor we sell, which is why we are the preferred garage flooring of the GoodGuys members.” – Jorgen Moller, CEO RaceDeck
The RaceDeck kickoff event included mingling, dinner, and facility tours showcasing the making of the top-of-the-line garage flooring used by many members of the Goodguys Rod and Custom association.
RaceDeck staff members, frequent attendees of several of the GoodGuys car shows throughout the year, were on hand to answer questions, direct traffic, and chat about the custom paint jobs and upgrades seen on many of the cars. As the Hall of Fame Tour guests saw, RaceDeck Garage Floors are 100% USA made – manufactured on site in Salt Lake City – a fact not unnoticed by the Goodguys members and staff.
“RaceDeck has been a great partner of ours over the years. Their products are made right here in this building. They are all-American, hot-rods are all-American, and of course Goodguys are all-American. We’re grateful to RaceDeck for hosting us tonight!” – John Drummond, Goodguys Communications Director
The KickOff party thrown by RaceDeck is just the beginning for the 2018 Hall of Fame Tour that, due to the event capacity cap, had to turn away hundreds of other members who wished to join. The next stop will be a visit to Kindig-It Design, another Utah local shop currently starring in the popular Velocity TV series “Bitchin’ Rides.” Shop owner and creative mind Dave Kindig is no stranger to the rad rides of the Goodguys Crew. Many of the vintage rods he and his crew have worked on, and many take top prizes at the various shows. Other tour stops along the way include: Yellowstone National Park, Mt. Rushmore, Dennis Albaughs and Jason Ayers collections, and the Branson Scenic Railway.
RaceDeck is proud to be the preferred flooring of the Goodguys Rod & Custom Association and wishes them safe travels for the remainder of the tour.

You’ve put blood, sweat, tears, and a whole lot of elbow grease into your dream ride. You’ve painstakingly hand-picked each part, fabric, paint, and custom detail. You’ve spent years collecting the perfect vehicles to fill your garage and now the time has finally come to show ‘em off. Are you going to settle for less than the best? Are you going to display your pride and joy on dingy trade show carpet or cracked and unsightly stained concrete? Thanks to RaceDeck’s new Showroom, Garage, and Display flooring line, you can create the show garage or car display of your dreams without breaking the bank.
RaceDeck has recently introduced Smoked Oak, its newest line of showroom and display flooring. Using the same patented understructure and power lock system as their best-selling garage and shop flooring, Smoked Oak is just as easy to install and engineered just as tough. Unlike RaceDeck Diamond and the rest of the garage line up, Smoked Oak features a high-performance laminate top surface with the look of reclaimed wood. The commercial grade laminate top, in place of a real wood plank floor, is unaffected by moisture, will never have to be refinished, and can handle the rolling weight of most any vehicle! Smoked Oak, available in both 18″ x 18″ and 36″ x 36″ (The industry’s largest seamless panel) transforms any show garage or showroom in just hours. No tools, no adhesives, no toxic epoxy mess!
Not worth having a show garage because you are always with your rides on the road? Smoked Oak in any module size is also the perfect display floor for your traveling show vehicle. Ensure a championship presentation with this lightweight, easy-to-store flooring that will guarantee the spotlight on your vehicle.
Manufactured in Salt Lake City, Utah, Smoked Oak is game changer for your garage, showroom, or trade show floor. Don’t wait to park your rides on the best!

If you’ve ever attended SEMA, you know just how crowded and crazy the show can be. This year seemed even busier than years past; it was quite literally a sea of people at times! In two days of walking the show, I logged over 18 miles and still didn’t get to see and enjoy everything that SEMA has to offer! Here are just a few of the highlights from my time at the show.
Every year there are tons of classic cars, custom cars—both new and old; this year we saw a lot more trucks and off-road vehicles than we remember seeing other years. This niche industry really seems to be taking off! It’ll be interesting to see how this trend develops in the years to come.
Attendees of the show couldn’t miss the distinct smell of burning rubber from all the drifting going on at the Ford and Chevy tracks! For those fortunate enough to get in on the signup early, they got to ride along on the tracks that included huge burnouts and a jump in the middle of the track. We’ll be sure to sign up early next year so we can give you the rundown from the ride-along perspective rather than the spectator. For now, suffice it to say, I’m sure it was a hell of a ride!
RaceDeck was fortunate enough to have a few celebrities stop in at the booth. When Dave Kindig of Bitchin’ Rides stopped by our booth to sign autographs on the second day of the show, the line went out the door and blocked several other exhibitors booths! Our deepest apologies to our fellow vendors, but you know how it is when a celebrity stops in; things can get a little crazy!
Dennis Gage from My Classic Car also stopped by the RaceDeck booth to sign autographs for fans of the show, who also drew a sizable crowd. Our CEO, Jorgen Moller, also took advantage of the photo op when Wayne Carini of Chasing Classic Cars stopped in to see us. We took thousands of other photos throughout the show; here are a few of our favorites.
