Earlier this year, the RaceDeck team headed west for the GoodGuys 35th RaceDeck West Coast Nationals in Pleasanton, CA.
The show was a huge success, firing on all cylinders with thousands of the coolest hot rods in the country in attendance. This year, aside from a killer display of the latest USA made garage flooring styles, RaceDeck debuted their own hot rod for some heated racing action in the Goodguys West Coast Shootout and announced the Inaugural RaceDeck Design & Engineering Award, with the winner receiving a two car garage floor of their choice!
Throughout the weekend, the place to be was definitely at the action-packed track. The newest autocross entrant was the RaceDeck Voodoo Falcon, a very custom 1963.5 Falcon Sprint powered by a GT350r 5.2L Voodoo flatplane motor and chassis engineered by Mike Maire and Tom Kirkham. RaceDeck West Coast Nationals was the first ever race event for the Falcon and the second ever Auto-x race for RaceDeck CEO, Jorgen Moller. The class was full of some incredible cars and fast drivers creating some serious competition. We ended up making it to the Final 4 West Coast Shootout!
Jorgen and the RaceDeck crew were elated to scour the show for the first ever winner of the RaceDeck Design & Engineering Award: an exceptional build with out of the box style. Dustin Reed of San Ramon, CA and his 72’ C10 Truck proved to embody exactly what the award was looking for. Powered by stroked LS3, Corvette suspension and countless other engineered mods. Dustin also raced at the event, winning his class… wicked fast! Dustin’s award included a full 2-car garage RaceDeck Flooring prize package.
USA made, RaceDeck Garage Flooring is the Official Preferred Garage Flooring of GoodGuys Rod & Custom Association, the world’s largest hot rodding association with over 70,000 active members worldwide.
